Let me tell you about something that is so much better than berries! In fact I know most people reading my blog are concerned about health, that is why you read the facts and buy the trees and bushes. But read this through because its life benefits far exceed those of fruits and berries.

You see, we are all in the seas of life, sometimes it is calm and other times it is rough, but if you have the right tools you can navigate your way through the seas of life. The Bible is our tool to make it through the everyday, to navigate through this life without going off course.

It reminds me of a story I heard: A man went fishing and while fishing his bought sprang a leak and started to sink. The man prayed and prayed for rescuing from God. Suddenly he heard the sound of  another boat coming toward him. The man in the boat said,  “I thought I saw your boat sink ing and decided to make sure….good thing too.” He tossed a rope to the sinking fisherman, who tossed it back and said, “I’m waiting for God to save me”.  Perplexed the boater drove off. Finally the boat sank and the fisherman lit his life vest beacon as he bobbed up and down in the water. After some time a coast guard helicopter appeared and rescue lowered down with the rescue cage. But again, the fisherman refused and said, “I am waiting on God to save me!”. As it got late the man sat bobbing in the water saying, “God, I’ve given you every chance when will you come save me?” Just then a submarine rose from bellow. The top opened and a sailor popped his head up bewildered at the sight of the fisherman. The sailor went down bellow grabbed a raft and paddled to the man. The man refused and said, “ I am waiting for God’s salvation”. When the fisherman finally sank he was standing before God and asked, “why didn’t you ever come? Why wouldn’t you save me?” God answered, “I sent you a boat, a helicopter and a submarine, but you refused. How much bigger of a sign do I need to send?  Your salvation was there but you refused every time”.

When it comes to life…we are sinking. We need a life preserver and it is found in the Bible. Don’t miss the signs and sink.

People think the Bible talks about all the things people do wrong and about how everyone is going to hell. Well the Bible does talk about those things but not in the way people think.

If you give me a few minutes of your time I want to tell you how the truths in the Bible can change your life! The Bible talks about how it just takes one. One bad thing and we’ve earned hell.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

A wage is payment for what we have worked for. Our payment for sin, or doing bad things, is eternal separation from God!

Now I am not here because I have reached perfection and have never done a thing wrong in my life. I am not here to pass judgment. I have messed up I have done bad things, in fact I do things bad quit often. So I would be a liar if I told you I was perfect and never did a thing wrong. But God threw me a life preserver!

Right now, listen up because what I say may change your life!

Man is destined to go to hell when they die!

Heaven is a perfect place and to get there you must be perfect.

Matthew 5:48 “"Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is  perfect.”

You see that is where the problem is. There is no one on Earth that is perfect, and if God let us being imperfect into heaven than heaven would no longer be perfect. So how can we get heaven?

John 6:47 “Truly, truly, I say unto you, he who believes has eternal life.”

To get to heaven all you have to do I believe, believe Jesus died, was buried and rose again. Jesus did this for you, so you could go to heaven. He wants you just as you are.

Matthew 11:28 “28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”

The Bible tells us you can’t earn heaven.

Ephesians 2:8,9 “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

You can’t depend on yourself and what you do to get to heaven; it is only through what Jesus did on the cross. You see if I do good things is the bad stuff still there? Yes, it has just been covered up. If you trust that Jesus died, was buried and rose again, you can be forgiven for every bad thing you have ever done and ever will do.

Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

This all comes from what Jesus did on the cross and because you listened about how a Bible could change your life! Trust Jesus right now as your Savior, as the only way to heaven…He is that life preserver.

God’s Word is true. What it says will never change to fit with the times, it remains the same.

God’s Word is comforting. It tells us of how much God loved us to die on a cross for us.

God’s Word is surprising. It tells us about the free gift of eternal life with Him.

God’s Word is life-changing. If we believe what it says we will have eternal life with Jesus.

God’s Word is for everyone. Jesus died for you, your children, He died for the whole world.

Will you now grab a hold of the life preserver? Will you believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
